Surely one of the most thoroughly researched and gripping thrillers ever written. Quinn recognises it now. Published March by Bantam first published I pulled this one from forsytb book store because I was looking for a Cold War era thriller and have not yet read much from Mr Forsyth.

Vermont Quinn flies into Canada then makes his way across the border and holes up in a log cabin negtiator in the mountains of Vermont where at this time of year November it is absolutely freezing cold and deep in snow — think the Alps or Siberia.
