Since I started reading this series which is now 7 books long, I’ve completed 5 and I’m half way done with the 6 th.

This opening for the series Destroyermen was interesting and investing, but I usually want to read a book because I’m curious about the fates of its characters, which I am not the least after this book. Dec 05, Evan Hunt rated it really liked it. Taylor Anderson spent a lot of time on the world building in this alternate Earth, as Captain Reddy the main protagonist and his crew entered ‘another world, another war’ through destroyrmen squall after a naval battle with a Japanese destroyer.

An interesting possibility of course, and filled with potential. They are human, with varying deshroyermen of personality and the interaction, teasing, courage, innovative thinking and camaraderie for good or bad gives a good impression of what it’s like on ship with a small crew. Great concept but I thought it dragged on a bit.
